Monavee Kiesow
1921 - 2012

Monavee June Kiesow, born August 23, 1921 to Fred and Jewel McIntosh Kiesow of Wagoner, OK, died February 11, 2012 in Memphis,TN at the age of 90. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, she began a long and devoted teaching career with the Ft. Worth Independent School District. She taught elementary grades for many years and later became a special resource teacher working with children with learning disabilities. Her greatest desire was to influence and enrich the lives of her students through education. She is survived by her nephews, Steven Lawson, Gary Kiesow, and Mark Lawson; and her nieces, Shelley Doyle and Sharon Spaulding. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) on Sunday, February 19, 2012 in the Kensington State Room at Garrett Family Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Steven Lawson, officiating.
