Seth Garrett Funeral Director/Embalmer Apprentice

Seth Benjamin Garrett was born in Tulsa on April 29,1994. He grew up in Broken Arrow, OK, later moving to Checotah, OK, where he began Jr. High school. Seth graduated high school at Checotah in 2012. Just completing his general studies at The University of Oklahoma, Seth will be attending Mortuary school in October of 2015 to obtain his degree in Mortuary Science. Seth is a member at First Baptist Church in Muskogee where he is very involved by leading praise and worship. In his spare time, Seth enjoys weight lifting and anything that has to do with sports.

Hillary Garrett Office Assistant

Hillary was born in Tulsa, Ok. She resided in Tulsa until she was in 6th grade then moved to Checotah, OK. She graduated from Checotah High School in 2012. Hillary was very involved in extracurricular activities. Cheerleading, choir and yearbook editor are just a few. Hillary is now a sophomore at Northeastern State University majoring in Early Childhood Education.  She is a member of the Northeastern State University Pom Squad, Education Organization and also a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. She is a member of First Baptist Church in Muskogee, OK.

Cydne Watson Secretary

Cydne grew up in California, moved to Vinita, OK in the ninth grade where she graduated from Vinita High School in 1969. She graduated from Northeastern State University (NSU) with a Bachelor’s Degree in education and taught school for 38 years most of which was spent as a Kindergarten teacher. After retirement Cydne joined our staff.  She is married to Sam Watson and they both love spending time with their 3 children and 9 grandchildren.

Bob Wall Funeral Assistant

Bob, 73, married to his beautiful wife, Carolyn, blessed with 7 children, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Bob retired from the packaging business in 2008 after 36 years of service. He is blessed to be a licensed minister under the Independent Assemblies. He has two part time jobs, one being in the natural gas industry and the other being on the part time staff of Garrett Family Funeral Home in Checotah, OK since November 1, 2008, serving as a funeral assistant. The Lord has blessed Bob tremendously all of his life!

Wayne Rinker Funeral Assistant

Wayne grew up in the Tuttle area, and moved to Checotah in 1991.  He is happily married to the love of  his life Regina, and they attend the Assembly of God Church in Checotah.  Wayne enjoys playing and singing in gospel groups.  Wayne has been a valuable member of the Garrett Family Funeral Home since 2006.

Lavon Duvall Evening Ambassador

Lavonne was born on March 26, 1937 and has lived in McIntosh County all her life.  She married Junior Duvall on March 28, 1955 and was married 58 years until his death on July 28, 2013.  She retired from People's National Bank on December 31, 1999.  She has four grown children, and is a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.  Lavon feels blessed to be a part of the staff of Garrett Family Funeral Home.
